滚铆成型机

Roller Forming is a non-impact process using a spinning Roller Head with two or more rollers to apply a symmetrical force to form the part. Roller Forming is used for flaring, forming a lip, crimping, or forming a groove in cylindrical parts too large for other processes. Assembly applications range from bearings, ball joints, electrical sensors, fuses, and many others.

Orbitform designs and manufactures static roller forming machines to help improve the quality, productivity, consistency, and control of your assembly process. Static roller forming machines built by Orbitform range from a simple roller forming head mounted to an Orbitform powerhead (or bench machine) and progress to complete automated assembly systems with special features including; material handling, error proofing, automated quality checks, and other advanced assembly options.

Static Roller Forming

Static roller forming by Orbitform is a non-impact process using a spinning roller head equipped with two (2) or more rollers to apply a symmetrical downward force to form the part or to assemble separate parts together. The static roller forming assembly process is commonly used for flaring, forming a lip, crimping, or for forming a groove in cylindrical parts too large for other assembly processes. The non-impact nature and precision control associated with roller forming make it possible to form and assemble delicate and brittle materials while the strength of Orbitform’s assembly equipment also allows durable metals to be roller formed. Assembly applications solved with static roller forming range from bearings, ball joints, electrical sensors, fuses, cans, and many others.

Orbitform Roller heads are compatible with Orbitform 240, 310, 500, 750 and 840 Powerheads and include an option for a pneumatic or servo actuated through spindle pressure pad.

Many customers come to Orbitform because they are not satisfied with the existing crimping or flaring process they are using to form or assemble their parts. Once the customers learn Orbitform’s static roller forming process is an option they decide to give it a try. The static roller forming process is used to assemble seals and gaskets as the roller forming process is perfectly suited for forming a can or body over and around the seal. Static roller forming is an alternative to crimping and often results in increased production efficiency, improved accuracy, more consistency, and enhanced aesthetics.
